อุทยานแห่งชาติห้วยน้ำดัง
ตั้งอยู่บนเทือกเขาถนนธงชัย มีพื้นที่ครอบคลุมอยู่ในท้องที่อำเภอแม่แตงจังหวัด
เชียงใหม่ และอำเภอปายจังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน รวมเนื้อที่ทั้งหมดประมาณ 179.5 ตารางกิโลเมตร หรือ 112,187.5 ไร่
ลักษณะภูมิประเทศเป็นเทือกเขาและภูเขาสูงสลับซับซ้อน ภูเขาที่สูงที่สุด คือ ดอยช้าง
เป็นป่าต้นน้ำลำธาร มีลำห้วยน้อยใหญ่มากมาย ฤดูหนาวอากาศเย็น ลมแรง

ของทะเลหมอกที่สวยงาม ทางเข้าแยก จากถนนสายแม่มาลัย-ปาย ที่หลักกิโลเมตร 65-66 เป็นทางลูกรัง ประมาณ 6 กิโลเมตร
2.จุดชมวิวดอยช้างอยู่บนดอยช้างขึ้นไปทางเหนือของห้วยน้ำดัง ห่างจากที่ทำการอุทยานแห่งชาติประมาณ 20 กิโลเมตร มีความสูง จาก ระดับน้ำทะเล 1,962 เมตร สามารถมองเห็นทะเลหมอกในตอนเช้าตรู่ได้ชัดเจน และสภาพธรรมชาติของ
ทิวเขาอันสลับซับซ้อนของดอยสามหมื่นและดอยสันห้วยรูทางทิศเหนือ ดอยหลวงเชียงดาวและ
ดอยขุนแม่แมะ ทางทิศตะวันออก ดอยแม่ยะและดอยม่อนอังเกตุทางทิศใต้
ดอยแม่ยานและเมืองปายทางทิศตะวันตก ดอยช้าง ปกคลุมด้วยป่าดิบเขาอันอุดมสมบูรณ์
เป็นแหล่งอาศัยของนกบนที่สูงนานาชนิด เช่น นกเดินดง นกจับแมลง นกเขน นกปรอด ฯลฯ
และสภาพโดยทั่วไปชุ่มชื้นไป

3.โป่งร้อนอยู่ในป่าสงวนแห่งชาติแม่ปายฝั่งซ้ายตอนบน ท้องที่ตำบลแม่ฮี้ อำเภอปาย จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน เส้นทางเข้า โป่งร้อนเป็น ทางลูกรัง
โดยแยกเข้าทางบ้านแม่ปิง ระยะทางประมาณ 2 กิโลเมตร สภาพธรรมชาติของโป่งร้อน
เป็นบ่อน้ำร้อน เปรียบเสมือนน้ำกำลังเดือดขึ้นเป็นฟอง
และมีหมอกควันปกคลุมพื้นที่พร้อมทั้งมีน้ำร้อนไหลเรื่อยๆ ทั่วบริเวณกว้าง
บ่อน้ำร้อนแห่งนี้มีบ่อใหญ่ 2 บ่อ นอกนั้นมีลักษณะเป็นน้ำผุดบางจุด
และรอบๆโป่งร้อนเป็นต้น สักที่สมบูรณ์มาก ความร้อนของน้ำประมาณ 80 องศาเซลเซียส
4.น้ำตกแม่เย็น
เป็นน้ำตกที่เกิดจากลำห้วยแม่เย็นหลวง
ซึ่งจะไหลลงมาสู่แม่น้ำปายต่อไป สภาพน้ำตกเป็นน้ำตกขนาดใหญ่ มีน้ำไหลตลอดปี
5.น้ำตกแม่ลาด
ความสูงประมาณ 40-50 เมตร มี 5 ชั้น
ตั้งอยู่ในตำบลเมืองแหง อำเภอเวียงแหง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ พื้นที่โดยรอบ
ปกคลุมด้วยป่าดิบชื้นและโขดหินสวยงาม
6.น้ำตกแม่หาด
เป็นน้ำตกที่มีความสูงประมาณ 40-50 เมตร มี 4 ชั้น ตั้งอยู่ในตำบลเมืองแหง
อำเภอเวียงแหง จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ พื้นที่โดยรอบปกคลุมด้วยป่าดิบชื้น
7.พระตำหนักเอื้องเงิน
เป็นอาคารทรงชาเลย์ที่กรมป่าไม้ได้สร้างถวายสมเด็จพระพี่นางเธอเจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนาฯ
และทรงพระราชทาน นามว่า "พระตำหนักเอื้องเงิน" ใช้เป็นที่ประทับของพระองค์
ตั้งอยู่บริเวณดอยกิ่วลมที่มีทัศนียภาพ โดยรอบ สวยงามภายใน
บริเวณโดยรอบพระตำหนักมีการออกแบบภูมิทัศน์ที่ประกอบด้วยพันธุ์พืชประจำถิ่นกล้วยไม้ "เอื้องเงินหลวง" ที่ออก ดอกสะพรั่งในช่วงเดือนมกราคม
ตกแต่งด้วยไม้ดอกไม้ประดับที่เป็นพืชเมืองหนาว ที่หลากหลายพันธุ์และหลากสีสัน
8.ห้วยน้ำรูและดอยสามหมื่น
อยู่ห่างจากดอยช้างประมาณ 10 กิโลเมตร ห้วยน้ำรูมีลักษณะเป็นตาน้ำเล็กๆ ที่สร้างความชุ่มชื้นให้แก่ผืนป่า ของดอย
สามหมื่น และเป็นต้นน้ำของลำน้ำแม่แตงที่ไหลลงสู่ลำน้ำแม่ปิง ส่วนดอยสามหมื่น
เป็นที่ตั้งของ หน่วยจัดการต้นน้ำ ซึ่งมีจุดชมทิวทัศน์อยู่บนยอดดอย

9.น้ำตกแม่ปิง
ตั้งอยู่บริเวณตอนกลางของลำน้ำแม่ปิงน้อย
เป็นน้ำตกที่มี 4 ชั้น ความสูงประมาณ 50 เมตร พื้นที่โดยรอบปกคลุม
ด้วยป่าดิบชื้น

อุทยานแห่งชาติห้วยน้ำดัง ได้จัดเตรียมทางเดินศึกษาธรรมชาติ เพื่อให้ผู้มาเยือน
ได้เข้าไปสัมผัสธรรมชาติอย่าง ใกล้ชิด พร้อมกับได้รับความรู้ เกี่ยวกับธรรมชาติ
โดยผ่านโปรแกรมสื่อความหมายธรรมชาติ ในรูปแบบต่างๆ ประกอบด้วยเส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติ

การเดินทาง ไปยังอุทยานฯ จากตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ไปตามทางหลวงหมายเลข 107 สายเชียงใหม่-ฝาง ระยะทาง ประมาณ 37 กิโลเมตร ถึงตลาดแม่มาลัย อ.แม่แตง
แล้วเลี้ยวซ้ายไปตามทางหลวงหมายเลข 1095 สายเชียงใหม่-ปาย อีกประมาณ 65 กิโลเมตร
ถึงด่านตรวจอุทยานฯ ซึ่งอยู่ด้านขวามือเข้าไปอีก 6 กิโลเมตร ถึงที่ทำการอุทยานฯ
และหากเดินทางต่อไปอีก 1 กิโลเมตร ถึงศูนย์บริการนักท่องเที่ยว
2. รถโดยสารสารธารณะ
จากสถานีขนส่งเชียงใหม่ สายเชียงใหม่-ปาย อัตราค่าโดยสาร 40 บาท/คน ใช้เวลาเดินทางประมาณ 3 ชั่วโมง ลงหน้าปากทางเข้าห้วยน้ำดัง
หน้าบริเวณปากทางเข้าไม่มีรถโดยสารสารธารณะคอยให้บริการ นักท่องเที่ยว
อาจติดต่อรถของเจ้าหน้าที่ไปส่ง(เสียค่าบริการแล้วแต่ตกลง)
หรืออาศัยโบกรถของนักท่องเที่ยวที่เข้ามาเที่ยวที่นี่ก็ได้
