โดยทางรถยนต์ การเดินทางจากกรุงเทพ ฯ ไปจังหวัดกระบี่ มีระยะทางประมาณ 946 กิโลเมตร โดยใช้ทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 4 ผ่าน จ.เพชรบุรี ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ชุมพร ระนอง พังงา กระบี่ หรือถ้าไปอีกเส้นทางหนึ่งก็ได้ ซึ่งจะมีระยะทางที่ใกล้กว่าคือประมาณ 814 กิโลเมตรคือ สามารถใช้เส้นทางหลวงแผ่นดิน หมายเลข 4 จากกรุงเทพฯ ผ่าน จ.ชุมพร แล้วให้เลี้ยวเข้าไปใช้ทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 41 ผ่าน อ.หลังสวน อ.ไชยา อ.เวียงสระ จ.สุราษฎร์ธานี จากนั้นให้เลี้ยวเข้าไปใช้เส้นทางหลวงจังหวัด หมายเลข 4035 พอผ่าน อ.อ่าวลึก แล้วให้กลับเข้ามาใช้เส้นทางหลวงแผ่นดินหมายเลข 4 อีกครั้งก็จะเข้าสู่ จ.กระบี่ พอถึงจังหวัดกระบี่แล้ว ก็วิ่งไปตามถนนสายในเมือง-ในสระ จะใช้ระยะทางอีกประมาณ 18 กม.ก็ถึงหาดนพรัตน์ธารา-หมู่เกาะพีพี หลังจากนั้นก็ให้ใช้เส้นทางเลียบชายทะเล ไปทางทิศใต้ระยะทางประมาณ 6 กม.
