จุดเด่น เป็นวัดที่ไม่ใหญ่มากนักแต่มีจุดเด่นที่แปลกตาและสวยงามไม่เหมือนที่ใดนั่นก็คือ องค์เจดี ซึ่งมีรูปทรงคล้ายบาตรคว่ำซ้อนต่อกันหลายชั้นเรียงขนาดจากใหญ่ขึ้นไปเล็ก พร้อมทั้งประดับประดาด้วยลายปูนปั้นกระจกสีสันสวยงามต่างๆ ซึ่งมีลักษณะคล้ายองค์เจดีย์พม่า
ควาเป็นมา วัดกู่เต้าแต่เดิมตั้งอยู่ในป่าไผ่จึงมีชื่อเรียกอีกหนึ่งชื่อว่า “วัดเวฬุวนาราม” ไม่ปรากฏหลักฐานที่แน่ชัดว่าผู้ใดสร้าง แต่มีตำนานเล่าว่าเจดีย์แห่งนี้สร้างขึ้นเพื่อบรรจุอัฐิเจ้าฟ้าสารวรี โอรสของพระเจ้าบุเรงนอง เมื่อครั้งครองเมืองเชียงใหม่ช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2122 – 2150
